Day-by-day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Shanghai
Upon arrival in Shanghai, our driver and tour guide will meet you at the airport, escort you to check in the hotel, and then you can rest for a little while before beginning the tour.
The first stop is the prestigious Fudan University, founded in 1905 as China's first higher education institution independently established by Chinese people. The renowned educator Ma Xiangbo was its founder, and Sun Yat-sen, the Father of the Nation, served as its inaugural board chairman. The university boasts a long history, featuring an architectural blend of Chinese and Western styles and a culture of freedom and openness, thus attracting numerous visitors every year.

Next, you will have a guided tour to visit The Bund, the epitome of Shanghai's century-old charm and the starting point of modern Shanghai. Since the city's opening as a port in 1843, this area has been its most prosperous district. Today, strolling along the Huangpu River, you can witness the breathtaking contrast between the historic colonial buildings on one side and the modern skyline of Lujiazui on the other, they display Shanghai's glorious past and vibrant present.

After that, your guide will take you to explore City God Temple Mall, a symbol of old Shanghai culture. Before the city's opening as a port, the temple was the only recreational spot for locals. It represents Shanghai's history and traditions, serving as a cultural landmark. Over the years, the temple fair culture developed from temple markets has encompassed religion, commerce, and folk customs, almost covering every aspect of people's material and spiritual life, earning it the title of Shanghai's tourism card. Inside the City Gold Temple, you can find a variety of local Shanghai snacks, such as specialty pastries from Lulin Restaurant, vegetarian buns from Songyuelou, glutinous rice balls with osmanthus from Guihuating Restaurant, eight-treasure rice from Songyunlou, as well as Nanxiang steamed dumplings and fermented rice balls. It is truly a kingdom of snacks where you can enjoy these unique delicacies while strolling around.

Finally, you will have a wonderful visit in the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Standing proudly at the tip of Lujiazui in Pudong, this 468-meter-tall beacon reigns as Asia's tallest and the world's third-tallest tower. Behind its iconic spheres, the futuristic skyline of Lujiazui—a forest of glass-and-steel giants—mirrors the Bund’s colonial-era architecture across the Huangpu River. This breathtaking contrast epitomizes Shanghai’s dual identity: a global metropolis where history and progress dance in perfect harmony.

Wukang Building, an iconic structure on Wukang Road, was built in 1924. Originally named Normandy Apartments, it was designed by Hudec and features a unique shape resembling a giant ship about to set sail. Among them, the General History of Ancient Chinese Art includes eight permanent halls — Bronze, Calligraphy, Painting, Seal, Ceramics, Currency, Sculpture, and Jade — which can be called eight "textbooks on ancient Chinese art history."
