Day-by-day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Chongqing

Upon arriving in beautiful Chongqing—a dynamic metropolis displaying western China's charm, then your guide and driver will pick you up at the airport/train station and then you will be transferred to the designated hotel. After check-in, you can enjoy free time to feel the vibrant atmosphere at your leisure like wandering through local markets, trying authentic Chongqing hotpot, or taking a stroll along the beautiful streets if your schedule permits. 

Besides, your tour guide will contact you via message or phone call between 18:00-21:30 to confirm the next day's schedule including meeting place and departure time, so please ensure your phone is accessible to receive notifications.

Day 2: Three Natural Bridges Exploration & Impression Wulong Performance

Routes: Three Natural Bridges – Longshuixia Fissure Gorge – Impression Wulong Show 

After breakfast, we will depart for Wulong Area, which takes about 3 hours. Upon arrival, savor a Tujia Wellness Banquet lunch.

Afternoon Highlights:

Three Natural Bridges National Park (Minimum 1.5 hours)

First, you will explore the 5A-rated scenic wonder famed for its unparalleled geological spectacle: three colossal natural bridges straddling two giant sinkholes ("三桥夹两坑").

After that, you will enjoy witness the world's largest natural bridge cluster and second-largest sinkhole group, where bridges and sinkholes interconnect on a monumental scale. 

Finally, it will bring you fantastic feeling when standing at the exact filming location for Zhang Yimou's Curse of the Golden Flower. 

Longshuixia Fissure Gorge

Traverse this 2-km-long fissure (200-500m depth) formed by tectonic movements millions of years ago and experience its Karst landscape characterized by majestic cliffs, primordial forests, and cascading waterfalls.

Evening Experience: Impression Wulong Performance

When you immerse in this 70-minute performance where art and nature converge under the open sky, you would feel the emotional resonance of 100+ live performers chanting traditional Chuanjiang Haozi (boat trackers' work songs) and discover the enduring spirit of trackers' culture – where fading memories bridge ancient traditions and modern civilization.

Day 3: Karst Landscape Appreciation & Hongya Cave Night Tour

Routes: Lanba International Cultural Center → Fairy Mountain National Forest Park → Hongya Cave Nightscape

Morning: Lanba International Cultural Center (Minimum 90 mins)

Day 4: Liziba Light Rail and Chongqing's Hotpot Experience

Morning: Bai Mansion Memorial and Ciqikou Ancient Town.

Bai Mansion Memorial: Visit this revolutionary site commemorating martyrs of modern Chinese history, its profound historical significance offers deep insights into China’s revolutionary heritage. If it is closed in Monday, the alternative attraction will be Hongyan Soul Square. 

Ciqikou Ancient Town (Minimum 60 mins): Explore this millennium-old "Little Chongqing" with flagstone streets, once described in folk ballads as "a thousand hands raised by day, ten thousand lamps lit by night". After that, you will enjoy savoring local specialties like hand-twisted mahua (fried dough twists) and delicious yogurt amid bustling snack stalls.

Lunch: Taste authentic Chongqing Spicy Hotpot, it is indeed a featured culinary immersion.

Afternoon: Liziba Light Rail Sightseeing to witness the iconic "train piercing through a residential complex" – a marvel of mountainous urban engineering, and then you will know why Chongqing’s transit is dubbed "8D metropolis magic".

Afternoon: Liberation Monument and Mountain City Trail

Liberation Monument (Minimum 30 mins)

Regarded as the top 10 Cultural and Tourism Landmarks of Chongqing, it is located in the heart of Jiefangbei Commercial Pedestrian Street, the monument was completed in August 1947. Currently, it is not only the monument in China for commemorating the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, but also a spiritual symbol of the war's victory.

Mountain City Trail (Minimum 30 mins)

Meander through the historic alleyways on stone-paved paths, you can carefully experience its paths and alleys – the historic old lanes with time-honored charm. As you quietly walk on the stone-paved trail, you will feel the time permeating these old streets and alleys, which will echo Chongqing’s timeless spirit.

Evening: Skyline Observatory "City Canopy"

Standing here, you can admire the magnificent city skyline of Chongqing, which offers a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery along both banks of the Yangtze River. It allows you to experience the unique romance and elegance of the Chongqing’s "Bund-style" riverside splendour, thus feeling the distinctive charm of this mountain city, and city that never sleeps—becoming a unique stroke in your memories.

Day 5 Departure

After breakfast, enjoy free time at your leisure and arrange a transfer to the airport/rail station based on your departure schedule. You may also extend your Chongqing exploration by visiting attraction like Chongqing Zoo to experience China’s cherished giant pandas.
